MUNCIE, INDIANA – McKinney & Malapit Law, a firm with offices in Muncie and Fishers, recently announced the addition of two new paralegals to its team. Just last year, the firm had also brought on a fifth attorney, Ryan Groves, to its fast-growing team.
Lisa DeFilippo and Annie Kaplan joined the firm in October as a paralegal and senior paralegal, respectively.
“We’re beyond happy to welcome Lisa and Annie to our team,” said Thomas R. Malapit, Jr., a partner at McKinney & Malapit Law. “Their combined expertise and experience will be a great asset to the firm.”
DeFilippo, who is originally from Centerville, Indiana, has been working as a paralegal for nine years. As a certified paralegal, she has worked in the private sector and in academia.
“I’m excited to practice all areas of law under the guidance of such experienced attorneys, and to join such a fun and successful team,” she said.
Coming from a family of lawyers, judges and investigators, Kaplan brings with her 33 years of litigation paralegal experience. Her background includes work in personal injury, wrongful death, criminal law, civil litigation and more. She is a member of the Indiana Paralegal Association.
“It’s clear that our team is on an upward trajectory, and our new paralegals will be invaluable as we serve more clients throughout the Indianapolis and Muncie regions,” Malapit said.
